LomoChrome Film Project: December 2024
Blizzard in Historic Downtown Pocatello (Idaho)
In a mix of the Frugal Film Project and a personal project of mine to do a year of LomoChrome films (at least once per month), here’s my first go. I’m sure I’ll fail at doing this consistently throughout 2025 but like all goals, you’ve got to start somewhere, eh?
December was done on a Holga 120 GCFN, a cheap toy camera, and with LomoChrome Metropolis in Pocatello, Idaho. The roll for this month did something called “fat rolling” - rather than wind tightly, it wound loosely which meant when I unloaded it, light piped through the spaces and into the frames. If this had been any other roll from any other camera where I wasn’t expecting weird or sporadic images, I’d be upset but to be honest, I like how some of these turned out.
Will I shoot LomoChrome Metropolis again? I much prefer the otherworldly vibes of Purple and Turquoise but I probably will.
